Speaque’s music journey started in California, where he was inspired by groups like NWA and legends such as KRS-One and LL Cool J. His time in Europe shaped his sound even further, as he soaked in the carefree yet conscious vibes of the Native Tongues collective, including A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.

He moved to Philadelphia in the early ‘90s, where the thriving underground scene helped him refine his craft. As a member of Schoolz of Thought, Speaque had the chance to grow as an artist in one of the most talented music cities.

Leaving Philadelphia, Speaque embraced the digital age of music, which inspired him to found Daredreamer Recordings. Today, he uses his platform to push creative boundaries and inspire others to achieve what they were told they couldn’t.
